Mexico (2 hrs behind)

Ron was raised in a Lutheran family, attending church regularly but was not saved.   Through 
Bible memorization, the Lord began to convict him of sin and he was saved in Dec. 1976.  Connie was raised in a Christian home, attending a Baptist church regularly and was saved at seven years of age.  
Ron and Connie met at Bible College and were married in May 1980.  After Ron's graduation in 1982, they moved to Fulton, MO to work in the Bible Baptist Church under Connie's father, Pastor James Carroll.  During their 4 1/2 years of ministry there, they took their first Mission trip to Mexico in 1985 with Bro. Carlos Demarest.  The Lord began to deal with their hearts about missions and for the next couple of years they prayed and surrendered to the Lord’s will for their lives. 
In Jan. 1987, they joined the First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio.  In Mar. they moved to El Paso, TX to work with Bro. Carlos Demarest and BPSI, taking mission trips into Mexico.  In 1993 they
attended language school in Aguascalientes, Mexico and expanded their ministry by starting follow-up classes for the converts from the mission trips.  They were also able to work with Bro. Rex Cobb who was starting a church in Juarez.  They worked in every aspect of the BPSI ministry for almost 11 years. 
In the fall and winter of 1996/1997, they went to a small Mexican village to have follow-up Bible studies.  During this time the Lord began to speak to them about starting churches.  They moved into Mexico in Nov. 1997 with their family.  (Their children are now grown and are back in the U.S.)
