I was saved as a 9 year old boy at the old Lockland Baptist Church in 1954. We attended church just on Sunday mornings so I never really grew as a Christian. I quit high school at the age of 17 and didn't go to church more then 3 or 4 times until I was almost 23.
God begin to deal with my heart and the way I was living, and in spring of 1967 I surrendered my life. Went to a revival at FBC where B.R. Lakin was preaching. It was the first time ever that I remember being in church every night of the week. It wasn't long before I was teaching s.s. and singing in the choir. God called me to preach that summer, and I left that August for Midwestern Baptist College. There I met my wife Becky and we were married in August of 1968. In my 31 years of ministry I have pastored 4 churches taught in Bible College. I surrendered to missions in 1986. I join BPS in 1994. Becky had taught 18 years in Christian schools before joining the secretary staff at BPS.
