My wife and I started sending our only son, Tim, to church on a church bus when he was 6 years old. He made a profession of faith when he was 8 years old. We moved to another area near the First Baptist Church of Milford. Our son, then, started to go to F.B.C. on their church bus. (We still did not go.) When Tim was in the 6th grade, in a public school, they were going to pass him, even though he had all failing grades. We removed him from the public school system and enrolled him in a catholic school. Before starting the next school year, my wife heard about a Christian School associated with the First Baptist Church, which was the church Tim attended. They accepted Tim, even though we were not saved. Little did we know from that point the entire church started praying for our salvation. This went on for nine years. Then in early 1984, Rev. Ed Bragg, the Principal of the Christian School, invited us to attend the 20th anniversary Sunday of F.B.C. Being a golfer and drinker, I did not want to go because I played golf and drank all day on Sunday. My wife insisted I could give it up for one day. I had no idea she had been wanting to go to church for a long time. The special speaker that day was Dr. Curtis Hutson. My wife hurt her toe that morning and I did everything I could to try and get her to let me take her to the Dr. so I would not have to go to church, but she was determined to go to church. We went and Dr. Hutson preached on hell and scared me to death! We raised our hands that we needed to be saved and Rev. Bragg and his wife went forward with us. I was 37 1/2 years old, at that time.

We surrender to go to the field of Australia in 1985 and I went to School of Scriptures.  I graduated in three years and started deputation.  I complete my deputation and was on the field of Australia December, 1989.

I worked with Hershel Case for 6 months and then took over the Fellowship Baptist Church is Brisbane, Australia and the Cases returned to the States for their furlough.

Vinnie and I were at this church until 1999 and during this time the church was able to purchase a building.  In 1999, I turned the church over to a National and returned for our furlough.

In 2000, Vinnie and I returned to Australia and went to a city called Toowoomba.  We started this church with two other families.

During the past 8 years we have seen many blessings from the Lord and we have seen church growth.

One of the families that started with us surrendered to go to the Philippines as missionaries and are currently serving there

Tim Bunch, who has been our song leader from day one and has served in many other capacities, has always felt God was calling him to be a Pastor, someday.  I have prayed about this and we have worked with him for the past 8 years and seen much growth in him.  In March of 2009, we will turn Garden City Baptist Church over to Tim Bunch and return to the States for our furlough.
