I was raised on a 653-acre farm in Northeastern Ohio on October 19, 1926. I enlisted in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II and honorably discharged after almost 3 years in the South Pacific.
I met my wife June in 1948 and we were married in a Methodist church in Mantua, Ohio on January 15, 1949. We have 3 daughters who are all married and saved. I was a carpenter for 35 years, many of which I was self-employed.
In 1962, a new pastor came to the church that preached salvation. After 18 months under his guidance, my wife and I were saved in a Methodist revival meeting on November 22, 1964. In 1970, we were baptized and joined the Kent Baptist Temple. In the following years, I taught 5th grade boys, adult Sunday school, was choir director and chairman of the deacon board. The pastor retired and under the guidance of the new pastor, I surrendered to full time service, in 1980.
I attended Massillon Baptist College and the School of Scriptures in Milford. I was ordained on July 29, 1984 and in August, my wife and I took a Mexico trip on the bus sponsored by First Baptist Church of Milford. It was then I saw the need to get the Word of God into the world and felt called into Bearing Precious Seed. We moved to Milford in February 1985 and are now in our 17th year. My part in the Ministry is raising funds for Scripture production. My goal is to reach new churches in the Northeast that I can present the Bearing Precious Seed Ministry to. When we are at home, we both work in the print shop.
